As you can see in my title, we made it back safe and sound. We had a good time the 3 weeks we were gone, but were glad to be back to our normal life again. I've posted a lot of pictures below from our trip.
My nephew Justin graduated as a Texas scholar on May 27th. I believe I have these numbers right, give or take one or two, but there were a total of 139 Texas Scholars in the state of Texas. Justins school had 96 of them. How great is that? He got a $50,000.00 scholarship from the Navy. That was the 2nd highest scholarship given out at his school. We are very proud of him. He is going in the Seal program with the Navy starting in October, but until then he's working a summer job to make some cash and enjoy the summer. Justin if you read this, we love you and are very proud of you!
The rest of the time there we spent with family and by ourselves. My niece and her family came up the first weekend we were there. We had a very nice visit and Rebecca enjoyed playing with her cousin Desma, who is only a little more than a month older than her. Then we went to Houston and spent time with Joe's sister and nephew who came in from Colorado and his dad and step mom, brothers & sister. We got to visit with Rebecca's great grandmother and grandfather and aunts and uncles. Of course we had lunch at Pizzitola Bar-B-Que-it was yummy! Then we were off to the graduation. It was a hot and muggy night, but well worth it. Afterwards we went and ate at a favorite Mexican Restaurant with my family (some pictures below). Then the next day my sister, my nephew and his girlfriend followed Rebecca and I back up to Longview to stay with us for a few days. We had a good time. Joe came home for a few days here and there from his business travels in Philadelphia and Atlanta. In the mean time, Rebecca and I stayed by ourselves and were totally bored. We came back home on Saturday.
Well that's pretty much it in a nutshell. A few of the pictures below were from before we left, but I added them in anyway!
Enjoy!

Wow sounds like an exciting time for all! Especially for Rebecca. She looks so cute in her "tails" and her head wrapped in that towel! Sure miss that cutie and her Mom too.
Oh and CONGRATS to Justin!!!!!!! Not an easy feat! Good luck for the future!
